Shifty Shellshock, Lead Singer of Crazy Town, Dies at 50

Seth Binzer, who went by the stage name Shifty Shellshock, passed away on June 24th, 2024.

The cause of death has not yet been released. Binzer was the lead singer of the late-1990s rap-rock band Crazy Town, which was known for the hit song "Butterfly."

Binzer was born in Los Angeles, California, on August 23, 1974. He began his music career in the early 1990s as a member of the band X-Ecutioners. In 1999, he joined Crazy Town, which released its debut album, "The Gift & the Curse," in 2000.

Crazy Town's biggest hit, "Butterfly," was released in 2001 and reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The band also had several other hits, including "Toxic" and "Revolving Door." Crazy Town broke up in 2003, but reunited in 2007 and has continued to tour and record music since then.

In addition to his music career, Binzer also appeared in several reality television shows, including "Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew" and "Celebrity Big Brother."

Binzer's death is a tragic loss for the music world. He was a talented musician and songwriter who helped to define the sound of the late-1990s and early-2000s.
